I have been playing baseball since I was 6 years old; I love the game and it has always been my dream to play baseball at the collegiate level. I am a LHP, 6’2” 200 lbs, currently a starting pitcher for my high school in New Albany, OH and for my summer travel team, the Ohio Warhawks. I am looking for a college that offers both engineering and business majors, with a baseball program where I can not only contribute, but also learn. I am looking for a school in either the Midwest region, the Northeast region, or in northern areas of the Southeast region. I am open-minded on the size of school I want to attend, but if I had the choice I would prefer a medium to large school. Lastly, I am looking for a school with a strong academic program that will allow me to reach my full academic potential as a student.
One of my proudest baseball moments was last year during summer ball when I threw a no hitter through 7 innings and only throwing 94 pitches. That game taught me so much about composure, teamwork, and perseverance, all things that I greatly value every time I step out on that mound. I also take great pride in my stats from high school this year in which I carried a 1.909 ERA and a 1.193 WHIP through May 1 of my season.
My mantra is HARD work pays off; this applies to my school work and definitely on the mound. My dedication to getting better during the off season has definitely made me a better pitcher. I strive to get better every day whether it be by working out, long tossing, or simply working on mechanics. I truly believe that hard work and determination can get you anywhere in life and this has been my motivation all throughout my baseball career, always working to get to the next level.
I personally have met some of my closest friends through baseball and I strongly believe in the lasting relationships that baseball can build, with both coaches and players. I may stand alone on the mound, but it takes teamwork to get the job done. I am a very diligent and hard worker who does whatever needs to be done to accomplish a goal. I have extreme dedication to this sport that has influenced my life in so many ways. Through my leadership and athletic ability I am a great contribution to any team, both on and off the field.
