Personal Statement

My name is Cooper Burt. I am 16-year old rising Junior at Ross High School in the Southwest Ohio area.

I began swimming at seven years of age with a local summer club. I immediately fell in love with the sport and joined Miami University Aquatic Club (Makos) the next season. As I have matured and grown, I am able to get more and more out of each and every practice. Through hard work and absolute trust in my coaches, I have made some big changes in the last year. This past season was my best yet! I know there is always room for improvement in and out of the pool--I am always looking forward to the next season and soaking up everything I possibly can from my coaches, teachers and team.

It is my dream to swim for as long as I possibly can. Swimming at the collegiate level is part of that plan! I am excited to see what the future holds for me!
