Personal Statement

We will win!  Not because of the nice baseball field and stadium, the sweet weight room or some baller uni's that we get to put on for our school and community, We will win because we have coaches, trainers, administration and teammates that work hard every day, that show up early ready to dominate, that cheer loud from the stands, the dugout and on the field for our team.  I have grown up in a Christian family with both my parents and 2 sisters and a brother.  My parents were both college athletes and I will be following in their footsteps.

I have been a baseball junkie since I was 5 years old!  I love this game and the field, the batting cages and the weight room...well this is where I call home because I live here!  I was always the smallest guy on every team and typically the smallest guy on the field but nobody ever told me this until I saw a team picture and it hit me...dad, am I always the smallest?  You see I was playing up 2-3 age groups each season and I thought I was where I was supposed to be because besides my stature, I fit right in.  I was fortunate to start playing highly competitive baseball at 9 years old with a great group of kids from all over the state of South Carolina, our coaches made playing a blast.  We traveled all over the SE and even made a trip out to Omaha, NE (where we caught the CWS!) we made the trip to Cooperstown where we finished 5th out of 100+ teams!  An amazing foundation in having fun, playing the game right and playing tough competition week in and week out!

I just finished my 2nd year starting for my Varsity High school baseball team (not the smallest guy on the field anymore!) and I love my team and my school!  I was the only Freshman last year, and guess what...the only Sophomore this year, 2 years in a row of being the youngest on the team...but I'm used to it by this point!  Go make plays, go make plays and then go make some more to earn your upperclassmen's respect.  We won our region this year and we plan on making a run at a State Championship in 2024!

I am getting stronger in the weight room where you will find me everyday before school and working 1v1 with a speed and agility guy named Joe Don Reames 4x a week right now to ensure that I am ready to compete my Freshman season in college.  I hit on my own each day, my dad throws me BP and I hit weekly with Andy D'Alessio.  I used to just want to hit as many balls as possible but now I enjoy understanding the why's and how's to hitting thanks to my coaches.

My goal is to attend a University where I am loved, not liked.  I want to be able to earn the right to help my team win!  I would love to go to a school where my family could attend games often, so somewhere in the SE interests me but definitely open to other opportunities if it was the best fit for me personally.  I plan on majoring in business or insurance and making a ton of money one day to support my hunting and fishing habits!!!  Oh yeah, I've never had a girlfriend because I do not date during baseball season and it's always baseball season!

Training

  • Weight Lifting
  • 1 year
  • Rise and Win! I wake up each morning at 4:45 to lift at my gym. I love it! I started doing this in 2023 and I plan on continuing this practice from now on. My day is so much better, my focus and energy during school is noticeably better. I usually get back to the house make my protein shake and fix my breakfast and lunch for the day then I take my brother and sister to school.
  • Speed and Agility Training with Joe Don Reames
  • 1 year
  • I just started training with former Clemson baseball and Clemson Football player Joe Don Reames at TNT. Joe Don is working with me on my explosiveness and making sure that I am lifting correctly. Huge weekly investment as I am spending my afternoons with him 4 days each week.
