2023 SpotlightPersonal Statement
I have been playing baseball since the age of five. Since I first stepped on the field I knew I wanted to play ball in high school and beyond. I have been blessed in having a main travel/club team and head coach since the age of eleven. Coming from recreation to competitive baseball was a learning curve. I put in extra time at home and in the batting cages, doing camps, and lessons to become a better player.
Off the field, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I have been involved in the Spanish Immersion Program since kindergarten and am both bilingual and biliterate. I continue to immerse myself in both Spanish and English taught classes during high school with AP Spanish Language and Culture being a favorite class this year. This year I was selected to join two Spanish Immersion committees and serve as a co-chair for my class for the next three years.
Besides languages I also love music and have played the cello since I was 9 years old. I have continued playing in high school both in class and in joining Chamber Orchestra.
I have aspirations to attend a college that will push me both academically and physically in the game of baseball and would like to ultimately find the right fit for me in both academics and level of competition.
