My name is Zachary Hall and I am a rising Senior at Bristol Tennessee High School in Bristol, Tennessee. Not only do I strive to be my best on the baseball field, but in the classroom, my social circles and my community as well. I feel a tremendous amount of compassion for those in need and have volunteered at local soup kitchens, mentoring/tutoring underprivileged youth, and working on beautification projects at local elementary schools. I am also actively involved in my high school's Fellowship of Christian Athletes group.
On the baseball field, I play the corner infield positions but my primary focus is on the mound. I throw from a 3/4 arm slot and have good command throwing all 3 of my pitches (curve ball, change up, and fast ball) in any count. I have a long frame and use that to my advantage as I explode to the plate. My unique arm slot creates a significant amount of movement on my fastball, which has contributed to my success. During my freshman year of high school, I pitched 8 Varsity games overall and collected a 6-2 record with a 1.3 ERA in conference play. I was named to the All Conference, All Regional, and Super Sophmore/Freshman team for the state of Tennessee as a pitcher.
I am a hardworking athlete and student, maintaining a 3.8 GPA, focusing on my classwork in the offseason and during the school baseball season as well. Academics is a very high priority for both me and my family. I really want to go to a school that will challenge me academically, socially and intellectually. I would like to attend a college/university that is the right fit for me, not only with a competitive baseball team with a coach that will push me to be my best but also with an environment where I can develop and advance not only as a player but as a man.
You can expect for me to always give 100% both in the classroom and on the baseball field, competing at the best of my ability and never giving up. I take pride in my work ethic and love working hard and striving to be the best person, player and athlete I can be.
