Personal Statement
My goal is to earn a degree and play college baseball. I have a very good knowledge of the game and the fundamentals as well as the amount of work it takes to make it to the next level. My father played Division I at East Tennessee State University 88-91. He has helped me develop my skills and the work ethic I have. He has been able to give me the insight of what it takes in terms of preparation, dedication and commitment to play at a high level. I am very coachable, willing to work hard, dedicated and a good teammate. I have learned from prior mistakes such as doing a better job in the classroom. I made some mistakes my freshman/sophomore year and didn't do as good as I should have. As a junior I carried a 3.5 GPA for the year and showed I have matured. I am active in the community as I volunteer for the local Boys & Girls Club, work with elementary kids, work with handicap adult program and umpire/referee at the Parks & Recreation Department. This has helped me with my communication skills in dealing with various groups of people. I want to thank you for taking the time to look at my profile and if given the chance I would welcome the opportunity to visit and workout for your program.
