Personal Statement

A 6'6", 260 lb Left Hand Pitcher - HS Class of 2020 (85 mph), First Baseman, Power Hitter with interest in pursuing a career in Finance, Wealth Management and Entrepreneurism while playing the game I love and sharing my faith with others.

The thing that separates me from other players / students is my work ethic and dedication and commitment to achieving whatever goals are in front of me.  That combined with a strong foundation of faith and willingness to learn makes me aggressive and confident yet teachable and patient.

I am a firm believer in the Four F's my parents have taught me: Faith, Family, Fitness and Financial balance and apply that approach to everything I do, its keeps all things in proper perspective.

Written evaluation: 2018 SOUTH PROSPECT SHOWCASE Nate Heffline is a 2020 1B/LHP with a 6-4 230 lb. frame from Trophy Club, TX who attends Byron Nelson HS. Extra big and strong well proportioned build. Right handed hitter, left handed thrower. Hits from an open stance with an uphill swing plane, power approach, will occasionally dip his back side and get too under the ball but develops bat speed and can drive the ball from gap to gap, picked up game doubles deep to both alleys, uses his strong lower half well to help generate power. Also pitched, drop and drive mechanics with lots of early drift to the plate, will need to learn to stay back and use his leverage and strength, 3/4's down to low 3/4's at times. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, lots of velocity variance and has some feel with his fastball and throws strikes with it. Tends to slow arm severely on his off-speed pitches, slider is the most usable of the three. Good student.

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
