For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of playing college baseball. My love of baseball started well before I even started my first season of YMCA Ragball at age 3 due to my relationship with my dad. He played baseball at Texas A&M University - Kingsville and has a love for the game that he has always tried to instill in kids that he has coached through Little League and select teams. To this day, he trains with me and is my batting practice pitcher 3-4 nights a week and bullpen catcher when needed.
Because of my passion for this sport and the goals I have set, I have found a work ethic and drive to improve that has better prepared me for the next level. I have played year-round baseball almost every year since I was 8 years old and am a 4-year starter on our high school baseball team. I have spent my last few off-seasons between high school football, where I am a 3-yr letterman, and baseball seasons working to get stronger and faster training in CrossFit while continuing to develop my baseball skills. Through my training and playing experiences, I have discovered that I can push myself to new limits and overcome any challenges that present themselves. My drive and leadership caught the attention of our high school coaching staff who awarded me the Key Award last year which recognizes the junior athlete that is expected to be the leader of the athletic program during their senior year.
I strive to find a college that is a good fit for me both athletically and academically so that I can receive a good education while playing baseball in college. I plan to study business with a focus in finance and investments as my goal upon graduation is to work in financial planning with Edward Jones.
