My primary goal is to play baseball in college on a competitive D1 team on the East Coast that has a good academic reputation. I think the coach should look at his players and position them to give the team its best chance to win even if some players have to move to different positions other than their favorite. I love baseball and have lots of fun playing and being with my teammates. Loving the game and not wanting to let my teammates down is what drives me to continue growing as a player. Everyone loves playing games, but I really like the preparation too. I look forward to going to practices, lifting, fielding and hitting sessions, clinics, conditioning workouts, etc.
My best assets as a player are my athleticism and coachability. At shortstop I have really good anticipation and lateral movement to the ball, a very strong arm to first, and an understanding of where to position the other players. Although my best and favorite position is shortstop, my coaches also use me in center field because of my speed and ability to pick up the ball off the bat quickly and move in the right direction. As one of our top pitchers I am throwing my fastball consistently in low 80's. My primary pitches are 4 and 2 seam fastball, curve, change up, and sometimes a slider. I have been the lead-off hitter for the last 4 years because of my ability to get on base consistently. I lead the team in bunts for base hits, stolen bases. My batting average this last Spring was right at .488
