Personal Statement
My goal is to find a school that is the best fit for my baseball and academic aspirations. Baseball has always been my passion and I work hard every day with the goal of getting bigger, faster, and stronger with each season. I believe in working hard and competing for what you want and it has always been my goal to work harder than anyone else. I was voted hardest worker on my high school team sophomore year and will be team captain going into my junior year.
I have always looked to compete at the highest level to increase my skills. My 15U year I played 16U, my 16U year I played 18U, and now going into 17U I will be playing in the 18U Seattle Premier League to compete against all the top talent in the area.
Academically, I am interested in pursuing a degree in business and entrepreneurship. I currently have a 3.5 GPA and have largely taken honors classes to date. I have always considered myself a leader on the field and class. I was class president my 8th grade year and plan to run for office my junior year of high school [UPDATE: I was elected ASB president for my senior year].
One thing to know about me. When I was 9 years old I faced a serious medical issue and died…..twice. I went through multiple surgeries, was in the hospital for over a month, and had a long road to recovery. I missed baseball and other sport seasons that year and it really put me behind everyone. Everything is great now and has been for several years, but this event forever shaped me. I had to work hard, battle, and compete to get to where I am now and know by continuing to work hard and compete it will get me to where I want to go.
I look forward to reaching out to some great schools and programs and meeting more good coaches and hope to hear back.
