Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Pierce Blohowiak. I am a 16 year old junior at St. Francis Xavier High school in Appleton, Wisconsin. My goal is to get a first class education while playing high level college baseball. I understand that academics are the most important and will be the key in making my dream reality. I finished both freshman and sophomore year with a 4.0 GPA while taking the most advanced honors courses offered. In addition to finishing CAPP Spanish my sophomore year, and the highest level of Chinese offered my junior year, I also have created a rigorous schedule for myself in all other subjects. I plan to continue striving to maintain my high GPA through senior year while continuing to challenge myself with an extremely tough schedule containing many AP and advanced courses.
I have also spent eight years studying piano at the Lawrence University Academy of Music. I have competed in many local and state piano competitions and have won several of them.
I have played football since I was eight years old. In 2013, I was selected to play Safety and wide receiver for the 2013 Football University Wisconsin state All-Star Team. I was the starting running back and outside linebacker for the Xavier High School freshman football team in 2014.
My true passion is baseball. I have been the starting catcher for the Wisconsin Panther Elite Baseball Club for the past seven years. During that time I have helped our team achieve a winning percentage of just under 90% while batting third and catching almost every inning of every game. I made the varsity baseball team as a freshman and started at catcher my sophomore year. I am also the starting catcher for the Wisconsin Panthers 18 year old fall select team.
I look forward to finding a college where I can continue my academic and athletic pursuits in an environment that will help me discover where my passion meets God's plan for me.
Thanks for taking a look at me,
Pierce
