Asher C. (Flying ...Personal Statement
Being coachable is something that I take pride in for cheering! I have been cheering for four years. I can honestly say that this sport has taught me so many skills that I will carry forward in life. I am currently a sophomore, and cheer on two teams. Aside from being very coachable, I am extremely versatile. I am currently a side-base and main-base. I am also able to co-ed and fly. I feel that my versatility is a huge strength of mine. It also translates into my daily life of being able to handle changes as they present themselves to me. My interest in mental health has also taught me how to effectively communicate with teammates, in various ways. I love the energy of leading a crowd at games, and also the excitement of competing. Being part of a team is like being in a family, and I love being part of a cheer family!
