Samantha Surgala '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Sammy and I have been a cheerleader for the past 13 years.  Cheerleading is something ingrained in me that I couldn’t imagine my life without. I cheered on Allstar teams (mini 1 through worlds at Stingray Allstars) for 11 years and school teams for the past 7 years (four of those overlapped).  My high school varsity team has won state for the past 12 years in a row, four of which I have been a part of.  I have been a flyer for 11 years but am a team player and willing to serve my team in any capacity. My junior year, I learned to base and really enjoy it.  Cheer is something that keeps me grounded and focused throughout my life.  I look forward to continuing my cheer career in college, in some capacity.  I love to be a part of a team, grow alongside other athletes, and engage a crowd.  I am so excited to continue my cheer career in college.  This year I was honored to compete in Georgia Cheerleader of the Year and make the top 16, All State team A-4A.
