Ashlyn Cundiff '24 Recruiting Profile

Throughout my 4 years as a Benjamin Bosse Highschool cheerleader, I have truly grown not only as a strong and motivated cheerleader but also as a student and individual. Having the opportunity to become the captain of this varsity team has pushed me to become confident, and truly excel in a leadership position. It taught me how to create balance, positive connections, and take on larger responsibilities. From learning to teaching is a big step, but I took it on with pleasure! I take pride in being able to effectively help others grow and develop their confidence. Not only have I taken on large tasks within cheerleading, but I have managed to stay on top of academic challenges as well.

Inside the classroom, I have continued to succeed throughout my four years always taking an honors, AP, or college-level course. The pressure of taking harder classes was very stressful to begin with, yet it has taught me how to manage my time, stress, and workload all at the same time. Since elementary school, I have always been very passionate about my academics and ensuring that I have pushed myself to do my very best. I believe this has been very influential on my cheerleading career as well as I always push myself to greater limits.

Outside of school is where my passion and determination for cheerleading truly began. I have now been a competitive cheerleader for seven years, and it is where I have truly been shaped into the person I am today. From scratch, I have worked to become the best cheerleader I can be! I believe this sets me apart from other candidates because when I believed my time in cheerleading was over I made the hardest choice there is to change my surroundings. This choice has put me in the best mindset to continue to grow and accomplish amazing things at the collegiate level. My resilience and devotion to myself and passion for the sport are what continue to make me an amazing cheerleader and hopeful candidate!
