Personal Statement
My name is Madeline Smith and I am going to be a senior at Fryeburg Academy. I am 5'2" and I weigh 120 lbs. I am very fast and I play the forward line. The interesting thing about me is I never played field hockey until my sophomore year and I got a lot of varsity time and then became a starter the year after. Also I might be captain my senior year. When I play people forget that I have only been playing for two years. I have made a good amount of goals in my two years of playing. However I feel I have made more assists then goals. I work hard everyday in practice and I work twice as hard in games. I am an excellent team mate and I am always there to cheer up my teammates if they are upset. When I started field hockey I never thought I would like it as much as I do now. I want to play in college so much! It has become a dream of mine now and I am more determined then ever to fullfill my dream.
What I would like to major in is physical therapy. I am good with people and I love learning about the human body. The whole idea of helping people recooperate fascinates me. My goals for playing field hockey in college would be to play my freshman year until I graduate. Field hockey has definitly made an impact on my life and I want to continue playing for as long as I can. I would love to expand my skills to where ever I attend college. Also I would be applying for financial aid. I have only one parent and I would be working hard for scholarships so that can help pay for my college tuition. I hope who ever is reading this checks me out and I hope to see you in the future!
