Personal Statement
I have wanted to play field hockey in college since my mom took me to The University of Delaware hockey game. The girls on the team played with such grace and I was in awe. I have played hockey since 5th grade, but I first picked up a stick at toddler age when I went with my mom to her practices. I started going to camps at age eight to further develop my skills. I think what makes me a good candidate for your team is my academic drive. After attending a college preparatory school for twelve years of my life, I have learned to take academics seriously. Also, I have a nose for the goal as my teammates put it. I can finish scoring plays. My main goal is to find a college that will challenge me academically and give me the tools for a successful career in my field. Playing field hockey would be a bonus, giving me a team full of lifelong friends and another four years of learning life lessons through sports. I hope you consider me when looking for athletes.
