My collegiate goal for myself would be to play at a high academic college that not only has a good field hockey program but interests me in fields outside of sports. Attending an all-girls private academy makes the intellectual atmosphere very competitive, So I take my classes very seriously. My teachers always give me the best feedback and would describe me as very intelligent and ambitious within the classroom. I am also very well-spoken; I am not afraid to voice my opinion or raise my hand, whether it's in front of big groups or simply just my peers. I work and put in 110% to make sure my life is a balance where I can train five days a week while keeping on top of all my studies. I have been playing field hockey since I was in 3rd grade and started a club around the same time. I would describe myself as a very vocal and hardworking teammate; if I lose the ball, I work twice as hard to get it back. I learned over the years to treat every practice and game like a tryout being explosive and intense while still having control over my play. While being off the field, my friends describe me as very caring and kind, and I am the type of person where if I see someone sitting alone at lunch, I would invite them to come to sit with me; I love making someone's day by simply showing minor bits of kindness. What goes along with attending a very studious school is they offer many opportunities for charity work and what we call "works of mercy," which has inspired me to get more involved in my community and has also contributed to my self character. People also say I have a fun and outgoing personality. I am always making people laugh and love being silly with my friends. Even though I have a hectic schedule, I still make time for other hobbies when granted free time. I can draw very well and have even had one of my drawings used for an auction to raise money for charity! Speaking of the arts, I am also a musician; I play guitar, piano, and ukulele. I use these skills to express myself when I am feeling stressed or overwhelmed, and I have found them a beneficial outlet! These are the traits and bits of my personality that I believe make me stand out from other recruits and overall what has shaped me as a person.
