Ever since I picked up my field hockey stick for the first time, I fell in love with the game. Over the past few seasons, I have not only developed as a player, but a person as well. I have become so much more outgoing, and I have learned how to be a better leader after being captain of modified (2013) and JV (2015). Playing field hockey has also helped me develop a better sense of responsibility and focus. In school, I have very high grades, I am in 2 honors classes, and I take an extra engineering class. I am a very dedicated athlete as well. I always ask questions to try to make myself better. I run track during the spring season to stay in shape, and I play indoor field hockey at Capitalland to stay sharp on my stick skills. I also participate in many indoor tournaments to play with my team mates and help better my skills. Over the summer, I try to play field hockey as much as possible. I go to camps, and I play for at least 1 hour every day in my back yard working on my shots and dodges. Some goals I have for my college career are to work hard, but have fun at the same time. I would have so much fun playing field hockey in college, and its very important to me that I do so. I would either like to study civil engineering, and I would like to be a part of Navy ROTC, because I want to be a combat engineer in the Marines. I would also like to get good grades, and focus on my career for later in life. Overall, I would be a good candidate for your team because I am a strong, determined player with very high expectations for myself.
