Sammy Latham '17 Recruiting Profile

The first few years of my varsity football career, we went through 3 very tough seasons. After the third straight tough season, I struggled with quitting the team. I thought long and hard about it and realized that by simply bringing a more positive mindset and a greater willingness to work on the practice field, in the weight room, and in film sessions, that we could turn the program around. I stuck with it, and after many hard-earned wins, we went 9-3 my senior year--the 2nd best team in school history. This taught me a certain perseverance and determination that I will carry with me to college and the rest of my life.  

     I do believe that I have the skill set it takes to play at the next level. I can promise that if I make it to the next level, I will bring a very determined work ethic, energy to practice and games, and will strive to be a team leader as I was throughout my high school career. I will always put the team first and find a role to help the team, whatever it might be.
