KEVIN TAYLOR, JR. '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kevin C. Taylor, Jr. and I am a 6'-0", 175 lb. Cover Corner/Free Safety. I have been actively involved in football since I was 10 years old. As I youth football player, I decided early on that I would use my God-given talents to excel in both football and life. I am not yet considered to be a physical specimen, but my heart and desire are unmatched and I make up for any of my physical shortcomings with supreme confidence, flawless technique, and an unrivaled competitive spirit. 

My coaches consider me to be a well-rounded player with exceptional growth potential and incomparable football smarts. I just finished my senior year at Saint Bonaventure High School and competed against some of the best competition in Southern California. My coaches called me the "Best Unknown Talent" in Southern California. I bring a great deal of athleticism and football ability to the forefront and I compete ferociously against all competition.

My ultimate (Professional) goal is to achieve a degree in Civil Engineering. My goal, as a football player, is to instantly help improve a teams' defensive secondary and enhance the team building process of a quality football program, still to be named. I train year round to improve my skills and strengthen my body; moreover, I train to improve myself as a young man, within society, and I bring all of my strengths to the table every day. 

Being the son of a 22 year Navy Chief Petty Officer has prepared me tremendously for life and its challenges thus far. Playing football at the collegiate level, regardless the division, is the next phase of my evolution and I anxiously look forward to it. Poised and always high in character in the face of adversity, strengthened by God and family, and focused on success I am the type of player every coach desires in their program.
