Personal Statement

I have played football, the sport I love, since I was five years old.  I love the competitiveness and team aspect of the sport.  I know I can’t succeed without the help and trust established with my teammates, and I prioritize making a connection with my teammates.  I am a leader on my team and lead by example.  I respect all my coaches and I am a coachable player.  I take the advice given by coaches and put it into practice immediately.

Playing football at the college level has always been a dream and I want to turn that dream into a reality.  A motto I live by daily is, “Get 1% better each day.”  I push myself to be one of the hardest working and most competitive players on the field.  I pride myself and believe that I am a student of the game of football and not just a player.  I know that football is physically demanding, but a majority of it is mentally challenging, which I take on through my hard work ethic.

My hard work, dedication, discipline, and focus also translates into the classroom.  I strive to maintain my high GPA, and currently, have a 4.06.  I currently take advanced courses, honors courses, and AP classes in my senior year.  I am a member of my school’s National Honor Society, California Scholarship Federation, and I give back to my community by volunteering with my local Pop Warner organization.  I plan to be a positive role model in my community for people to look up to.  In September 2016 of my senior year, I was selected by my high school teachers and counselors to be the Murrieta Mesa High School Senior of the Month for September and was honored to attend a ceremony to receive awards from local and state dignitaries.

I intend on attending a 4-year college or university that will challenge me on the football field, and in the academic setting.  My competitive nature will push me to be the best I can be.  All college options are open to me, and I want to find the best college or university match for me, which would prepare me for my future goal and career of being a doctor.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
