I have a family legacy of success in both academics and athletics** that goes back multi-generational, which I am committed and motivated to continue. I have been playing football since I was 7 years old and love the game more each year I play.

My long-term goals are to continue playing football at the next level, where I can contribute to a program’s success through strong leadership and a 'can-do' teamwork mentality, while also giving back to the local community where I am needed. While playing, my goal is to earn a B.A. in business then an MBA with a focus in Real Estate and Fitness, where I will gain the knowledge not only to run/start my own commercial real estate business but help grow my family’s fitness business too… or maybe I will coach like my grandpa!

Ultimately, I am a coachable self-starter that understands what it takes to be the best by having a 'team first' attitude to achieve a successful end-goal.

**Torgeson Family History in Sports & Academics

1. My Grandfather, Gary Torgeson, played at and became one of the youngest Head Football Coaches at CSUN (California State University, Northridge) at 30 (Coached with Jack Elway), then became one of the winningest Softball Coaches in NCAA history with 4 National Championships before his retirement in 1994.
2. My dad, John Torgeson, played HS Football in Southern California at Granada Hills High School (John Elway's alma mater) where he was All-League, All-Conference and nominated to the L.A. Daily News All-Star game, ultimately excepting a scholarship to play at CSU Chico where he earned his B.S. and started his own business.
3. My mom, Shannon Torgeson, was a college volleyball player and earned a teaching credential and M.A. in Education, she has been a successful elementary school teacher for the past 20 years.
4. My Cousin, Wayne Cook, started at QB for the UCLA Bruins and played in the 94' Rose Bowl. He is currently the Sideline Announcer for the Bruins football team and teaches at Temecula HS.
