Personal Statement
My name is Isiah and I have been playing football since I was 5 years old. Football is my passion and I live and look forward to football season every year! On the football off season I run track and continue to work on my football skills by either attending football camps or working with my trainer on my skills and speed. I am also an assistant student coach for my little brothers Pop Warner team and have done this for the past two years.
My college goals are to attend a college where I can not only play on the football team but also do well in my academics. I would like to attend a college where I feel like I can grow and become not only a better athlete but also a better student. At the current time I would like to study Criminal Justice and eventually become a detective. I aspire to one day play in the NFL or become a detective.
For the past 2 years my high school's football team record has not been great. I have learned ALOT about myself being part of a losing team. Losing so much has made me see and understand that winning isn't everything and that as long as you give it your all and continue to believe in yourself and know that you are giving all of yourself for your team that is all you can do. I am not a quitter and I have never quit anything in my life. Do I want to win? Of course I do and that is my goal for next season to push myself and my teammates and start wining some games!
My passion and perseverance for football is what helps me stand out from most other athletes. I am driven and I work hard and never give up. I am not the tallest or the biggest one the team but my passion and heart make me taller and bigger than the tallest and biggest players on the team. No matter what college I end up attending and playing football for the coaching staff will know that I will give it 100% on and off the field.
Thank you.
