Personal Statement
Hello Coach,
My name is Brian Keating and I am a 6'1 230 pound Long Snapper from Darien High School in Darien, CT. I am currently the 40th ranked long snapper in the United States according to Rubio Long Snapping and I am number 1 in both the state of Connecticut and in the New England region. I am very interested in playing for a school that has both great academics and great athletics. I am 100% committed to playing college football and I am not ready for my football career to end after my senior year. If I were to play for your team, I would strive not only to be the most hard working player on the team, but I would strive to be the most respectful and interactive member in the classroom and in the community.
On the football field, I am our team's taring Center and helped our offense break numerous passing records and helped our team go 12-0 and bring home our school's first state championship since 1996. At Long Snapper, I had all perfect snaps on PATs and Punts while still managing an average snap time of .72 seconds at 15 yards. I have experience blocking in both the spread and pro style punt scheme and I have played Middle Linebacker for over 2 years now, which can ultimately help in downfield tackling.
Academically I have a 3.3 GPA and am looking to major and minor in Marketing and Accounting. I hope that by attending the right college, I can become a successful businessman, work on wall street, and safely start my own family.
Thank you,
Brian Keating
