Shane McCormick '24 Recruiting Profile

   I am always striving toward becoming a better person, on the field and off. I am very passionate about my goals and always work hard to achieve them. My main goal is to successfully graduate from college with a good degree, while simultaneously continuing my journey toward being a strong and well-rounded athlete. The combination of my academic and athletic goals coupled with my driven personality and strong work ethic have always helped me achieve what I set out to do and will continue to do so.  I feel like I am different from other athletes because I am coachable and driven, and push myself toward the goals I set for myself as an individual and as a teammate. The dedication I have toward achieving my goals is shown in both my strong academics and on the field accomplishments. I am currently 8th in my class of 153 due to my drive toward succeeding academically and I was named captain of my varsity football team due to my dedication on the field.
