I’ve been passionate about tackle football since 4th grade, but due to my parents’ safety concerns, I wasn’t allowed to play until my freshman year of high school. That could have been a disadvantage, but it fueled my hunger and made me responsible for charting my own unconventional course to become a starting player. Fast forward to the beginning of my sophomore JV season and I was starting on both sides of the ball -- as a WR and as a cornerback. Now I’m a starting varsity receiver in a hybrid TE / WR position which required me to learn over 40 plays and 80 routes for both positions. That wasn’t a challenge because comprehension has always been an academic strength of mine.
I’m dedicated to increasing my strength and size through weights and nutrition. From January, 2020 to September 2020, I added 30 pounds of muscle and increased my bench by 80 pounds. I stay focused and hungry, so I’m constantly working on my technical skills and routes with my personal WR coach. In July 2020, I participated in the FBU Top Gun event to continue to advance my skills and in the spring of 2021 I’m joining the track team to increase my speed. I have the talent, character, drive and work-ethic to make a positive impact on a college team and I’m seeking a program that will be a strong fit for me athletically and academically.
