I am a dedicated 16 year old high school junior who can make a 55 yard field goal (see video) and has kicked several in game touchbacks this season.I earn good grades (4.3 weighted GPA in the first semester this year,) so I will not be an academic risk to my team or coach. I currently take 4 AP classes and scored 1420 on my SAT. My teachers like me and believe in my academic skills. I enjoy writing, math and science. As a freshman, I received Magna Cum Laude honors in Latin as the top student in Freshman Latin. I have a 94th percentile score on the PSAT 9. I would like to utilize my place kicking ("PK") skills to secure a preferred walk on or recruited spot to a top academic school in either FBS, FCS or D-3, depending upon how much I grow and improve over the next year. It is not imperative to earn a scholarship as a college freshman, but hope to earn my way toward one while in college, if playing D-1. We went 9-1 this season, i was one of the top kickers in the conference (Sunshine State) as measured by kickoff distances, touchback % and pat %. As our offense averaged 40 ppg, I was only 1-2 on FGs. The miss was on a snap in the dirt. Maxpreps named me Special Teams Player of the Game 4 times this season. I recently was awarded my team’s Special Teams MVP and was nominated first team all-conference kicker.
I am very young for my grade and have concluded my third varsity football season (2 as a starter) at age 15. Therefore, I feel that I have far more upside physically and room to improve as compared to other placekickers in the Class of ‘24. I am currently 6’2”/210 and with my size, I enjoy leveling kick returners. I can consistently kick FGs from 55 yards - see Video section. My best kickoff was 65 yards in games this season. To stay in good condition and to improve my kicking, I play varsity soccer for my school and participated in varsity track a a freshman, where I competed both in the 800M and mile. I have posted a video on NCSA of my 80 yard soccer goal kick I also won the school’s “Thor Award”, which recognizes student athletes who played 3 varsity sports and was the only freshman to win the award. I also trained with a former Big East/ex-NFL kicker to improve my mental and physical approach to kicking.
