Personal Statement
Being able to play the game that I’ve loved for 12 years and having a chance to go to college and continuing to play is truly a blessing. My parents have worked very hard in raising me and my 3 sisters. They have taught us to work hard for what we want in life and I want to be a student athlete more than anything. My oldest sister is a junior at UGA and she has inspired both my 13 y/o sister and myself to become doctors. Our goal is to open our own family medical practice and help take care of our youngest sister Kristian. Kristian has down's syndrome and on Friday nights is my biggest cheerleader. Many of my teammates have adopted Kris as their little sister and she has become a true football fanatic. My family is everything to me. Our parents raised us in a Christian home and we support one another like a family should. This is also the way I see my teammates - as a family and if given a chance this is what I will bring to your team. I have worked very hard in the classroom and on the field. I’m starting at free safety and rotating at corner as my coaches have taught me to be a leader on the field. I have a firm understanding of our defensive scheme and work hard to be a coach on the field. I've missed out on going to parties and even some family vacations because of homework, practice or football camp. I just want to get a great education and continue to play the sport I love so I will gladly make sacrifices and train as hard as I can just so I can be better than I was the day before.
