Will Howe (c/o ‘23)
My name is Will Howe, I’m a student at Veritas Classical Schools (North Atl. Campus) and I play football for The King’s Academy (Woodstock, GA). I am a 15 y/o freshman and I start on the varsity team. I don’t have the typical offensive lineman build just yet, but I use this to my advantage, as defenders have a hard time sizing me up pre-play. Furthermore, many of my past coaches, from the sixth grade to now, have referred to me as a “swiss army knife,” meaning I can play anywhere in the trenches, both on offense and defense. When it comes to character, even as a freshman, this season I worked very hard to cultivate a culture of pride and comradery amongst the offensive line because I feel like oftentimes, due to the lack of recognition we receive, we lack pride and confidence in our importance. Academically, I have a 4.0 GPA, however, I have yet to take the SAT or the ACT because I have not taken a couple of the courses necessary to do well on the test. I feel that my prominence on the varsity team as a freshman in such a competitive state, like Georgia, while maintaining an immaculate GPA, shows my promise as a well-rounded prospect.
