Personal Statement
My name is Zaire Turner and my teammates have nicknamed me N.Y. , because that is were i was raised and attended school until staring my freshmen year at Creekside high school in Georgia. The love of the sport was passed down to me by my father who also played high school football while his father coached little league, so as you can see it's in the blood. My family thought my desire and talent would be best suited in a new atmosphere to help with my development. A joint decision was made for me to live with my grandmother in Georgia until my father could relocate back to Atlanta. The relocation presented some obstacles, but i use them as an opportunity to advance my dreams.
My goals while attending Creekside is to earn a football scholarship and major in sports journalism when i enter college. My unique skills in football is having a fast get off, being able to read my opponents tendency's, stopping the run and a variety of pass rush combinations. I'm a team motivator and I lead by example. Being a humorous and respectful person with an intellectual love of the game, believing that team work is important and no man should stand alone. Football has taught me that in life that there will be ups and downs its about what steps you take to overcome them.
