Ethan Devers '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been a kicker since my 8th-grade year in middle school, and have found a passion and love for kicking that I didn't realize I had, even after playing soccer since the age of eight. I have been playing Varsity football since freshman year and earned the starting kicker/punter position in the 10th grade. This year I am 3/3 on FGs so far with a long of 37yds and have made 15/17 touchbacks when kicking off. My punt average so far this year is 40 yards.

I actively participat in Chris Sailer Kicking Camps to better my skill and am currently ranked 5 stars. I was invited to the Top 12 Chris Sailer competition this year and in November 2021 and March 2023 I won the Atlanta Chris Sailer kicking competitions that were held in Georgia, earning free tuition to another Chris Sailor camp. In July 2022,  I was second place in the California Chris Sailer day one field goal competition, finishing with a 57 yard field goal.

I am currently a senior at Newnan High School, and stay busy during the whole school year between academics, sports, work, and family activities.  I am a very disciplined student, maintaining a 3.6 GPA and stellar conduct.  I am taking a college English course this year to try and get ahead for college. In my off time, I love to go to the gym or just to go work on my kicking form at the local football field. I’m also actively involved with my church small group. I do not come from a family of athletes, however, I do love to play all sorts of sports. In addition to football, I played soccer through my sophomore year in high school. I feel I am most definitely ready to become an active contributor to the game of football at the next level, not just with my skill but also with my attitude and leadership.
