My name is Edouard (Eli) Gondo and i am a 5'9" 195 pound running back from Post Falls, Idaho. I'm currently a senior at Post Falls high school and looking for a college that can push me towards both athletic and academic excellence. I started playing tackle football when I was just 8 years old and I was quick to realize that I wanted to play at the collegiate level. The desire to play past high school has grown in the past few years. For me, football is much more than a game because it has taught me how to overcome adversity, be a leader, be coachable, and be humble. I do not believe that there is another sport that simulates life quite like football does.
During my high school career my main position has been running back, but can play outside linebacker just as well. I carry the ball a lot, sometimes as many as 40 times a game. I'm a very physical runner that can run routes and catch the ball out of the backfield. After a devastating injury that prevented me from playing at all my sophomore year, I came back the next year to win IEL all league running back and was selected as a team captain as well. That same season our team made school history by making it to the second round of the playoffs. Although I am young for my grade, I'm a fast learner, love to hit, and I live in the weight room. I have good moral character and am strong in my faith. I aspire to find a school that has an environment for me to grow as a football player, student, and as a person.
