As I look beyond Lake Zurich High School, I reflect upon the great opportunities I have had to excel both academically and athletically. In pursuit of an education in Mechanical Engineering, I have set a high academic standard for myself which is reflected in my grades and the challenging classes I have taken. At the same time, as a two-sport high school athlete at a school with a long tradition of excellence, I have risen to the challenges to compete at the highest levels. I have learned several things I truly value over these past several years: Trust: through hard work, training and practicing I have elevated my game, competitiveness and drive to succeed. It is through this that I have ever increasing trust in my skills to get the job done when called upon. Whether this was snapping the winning field goal during our first varsity game this past year, or taking the ball on the mound for my travel baseball team, I relish the opportunity to perform. It is through these same efforts I have learned the power of and trust in my team. All of us doing what is expected during the offseason, at practice, and then in the game allows the team to be most successful and the game to be fun. Relationships: are the most important part of sports and life. Having a great set of friends; a wonderful family that is supportive, challenging, and encouraging; teammates that work hard for similar goals; and coaches that teach you lessons about being on the field or about life is such a great thing about sports. The remainder of my high school days and college life ahead are opportunities to meet new teammates, work together and support and learn from one another. This is one reason that leads me to continue to pursue collegiate athletics. With the hard work that was put in my studies, weight training or technique training, I have seen improvements year over year. Every improvement gets me closer to another level of excellence, be it on the field or in the classroom. While the efforts do not always mean success, I have committed to doing the best I can to be the best I can in as many ways as possible. Thank you for looking at my profile and taking time to get to know me a little bit in this process. I look forward to further conversations. All the best! Camden Boyle Lake Zurich HS – Class of 2016
