Brian Jackson '18 Recruiting Profile

I have had the pleasure to be a part of the 6X state champion football program at Montini Catholic High School.  As I reflect on the last four years, I came to Montini as a young boy eager to participate and deepen my knowledge and love for football.  I have grown over the last four years into an adult and have learned that it takes dedication, commitment and talent to excel both on the field and in the classroom.  Seeing the commitment of the student athletes on the Montini championship teams, motivated me to become a leader both on and off the field.

During my football career, I have played both sides of the ball in a lineman position.  My size, strength and agility afford me the opportunity to be a strong contender on both offense and defense.  When playing offensive left tackle, the QB knows that on any play, running or passing I can be trusted to protect him and/or open lanes for my fellow teammates. I have speed for a "big guy" and am able to provide protection on running plays.   As a defensive lineman,  sacking the opponent's QB is always the goal.  I'm effective at breaking double teams and have amassed over 15 sacs throughout my career.  In addition to the lineman position, I have also played center and been a key player on special teams.

As I begin my transition into college, I want to utilize my athletic abilities and continue to play football on the collegiate level while pursuing my academic goals of obtaining a college degree and becoming an engineer.  The ideal football program will be a fit both athletically and academically. Having played tackle football since the age of five, being listed on the honor roll for four years while in honors classes and serving others through volunteer work, I have the focus and drive to perform and deliver on the collegiate level and will give my all to immediately contribute to  any team that I am fortunate enough to be a part of.
