I am really grateful for all that I have learned and experienced as a football player for Wheaton Academy. I was supposed to go to a large high school with a successful football program. I would have been on a team with some of my best friends and former team mates. I made the decision to go to WA instead. It would have been cool to be at that big school, but I wouldn't change a thing.
Being a part of a small school and a small team, I've learned how to dig deep. We all have to play both ways, every down, every game. I love it.
I played on JV and Varsity my Freshman year. I would finish my JV game and then run and dress for Varsity. I loved it. I was injured my sophomore year and didn't play a down but I didn't miss a practice or a game. I worked hard all season, I rehabbed and came back my Junior year. My team made it to the playoffs I and made All-conference. I loved it.
I've been blessed to be coached and supported by some great men. In addition to receiving elite level coaching, my coaches have taught me that my strength of character is just as important off the field as it is on the field. They have helped me become a better player and a better man. I wouldn't trade that for anything.
We are a small school with a small team. We lost a lot of Seniors last year and we are going to have to battle hard to get back into the playoffs. But, we have grit. As a Senior and a leader on this team, I'm going to work hard on every play, every game, to make sure that we get there.
I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically and academically. I am a two sport athlete (baseball) and I believe that my experience, talent, work ethic and leadership abilities will allow me to contribute immediately at the collegiate level. I am a dedicated athlete who is ready to commit to your football program.
I am so FIRED up for football season!
