First, thank you for your time. My name is Keetan Burcham-Jones, currently a Junior (class of 2024) attending Brownstown Central High School in southern Indiana. Since I was in Kindergarten, I’ve played at least 2 sports (most years 3 sports) – my primary three have been football, basketball and baseball but I also competed in Track/Field last year.
I’ve started varsity since sophomore year for one of the top small-school football programs in Indiana (my head coach Reed May is #5 winningest coach in Indiana history). I’ve played multiple positions (mostly on the offensive/defensive line) but I believe my ideal position is an Edge Rusher at Defensive End/Outside linebacker.
I accept feedback from coaches as an opportunity to learn. I believe in a positive, encouraging culture on the field, in the weight room, in school and in life – and I try to support my teammates in the same way.
Even though football is my #1, I strive for a well-rounded teenage life. I split time living on a farm with my Mom/Dad and then living with my Dad lifting weights and pursuing fun experiences.
Most of my attributes, athletic and academic accomplishments are on NCSA profile but the following are a few proud highlights -
Physical Attributes/Achievements:
- 1st place Superstar Night (team competition of NFL combine type events)
Athletic Accomplishments:
Academic Highlights and Community Involvement:
- Recent trimester completed with 3.85 GPA. Overall 3.411 weighted GPA in advanced placement courses (English, Math, US History, Sciences)
- Recently earned 97% as team lead on large project for Marketing Fundamentals (creating Sports Team)
- Routinely visit local elementary school spending time with children complete projects as part of the Letterman’s club
For college, I want to join and contribute to a championship caliber football program but also attend a world-class university playing the game I love. I have diverse academic interests from the body sciences (like kinesiology) to studying US/World History. I want to continue developing into a great football player, student, son and citizen.
Thank you
Keetan
