Jacob Biberstein '25 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to play football at the collegiate level with the long-term goal of serving my country in the armed forces. As a dedicated student-athlete, my combination of academic achievements, leadership experiences, and athletic prowess make me an ideal candidate to continue my football career at the collegiate level.  

Athletically, I have been a three-year varsity player in football and ice hockey. In football, I have experience in all offensive and defensive line positions. As a junior, I start both ways as an offensive and defensive tackle. I am a student of the game, and given my adaptability and commitment to the team, I am a versatile player who puts the team's success above all else. 

As a committed athlete, my greatest strength is my work ethic. Dedication to off-season training, including film study, strength training, and agility workouts, has been a constant in my pursuit of excellence. My commitment to improvement will contribute positively to any team's success and culture.

Regarding leadership, I serve as a class officer and hold a command position in our JROTC program, where I've honed my ability to lead and inspire others. These roles have taught me the importance of teamwork, discipline, and accountability — qualities crucial in academics and athletics. 

Academically, I have consistently challenged myself with an array of Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses throughout my high school career, maintaining a 3.6 GPA. Additionally, I have undertaken college courses to expand my academic horizons, reflecting on my commitment to excellence in the classroom. 

My commitment to service is evident through my volunteering efforts, with over 100 hours at the Maine Veterans Home. This experience has instilled in me the values of respect, responsibility, and selflessness, which I carry with me in all aspects of my life.

Above all, my defining character trait is resilience. I face challenges with determination, never yielding to adversity. My ability to overcome obstacles and my unwavering work ethic make me an asset to any team and a student-athlete any coach would be proud to have.
