My goals and aspirations for college include obtaining a bachelor's degree in business administration, securing a position on a collegiate football team, and to explore opportunities to volunteer within the community. When I was a freshman in high school, we were fully remote (and no sports) until the last couple months of school in 2022. Therefore, I, like so many others, did not have your typical first year high school experience. I seemed to manage fairly well when we were remote, so returning for the start of my sophomore year was really my first high school experience. It was a whirlwind and by the time I realized I wanted to play football, the season was about over. I had lost my chance that year while I was just getting my bearings adjusting to high school life post pandemic. Friends, neighbors, and family had suggested football to me since middle school because of my size, so it had been on my mind. However, I finally got my chance to join the Worcester Tech Football team junior year last year. I played primarily on the JV team playing because it was my first year in football, but they also put me in Varsity games occasionally (defensive tackle). I felt like I thrived in my football team setting. The camaraderie among my fellow players and coaches, the structure, and putting my heart and soul into the greater good of the team really left me feeling like I was home. Even though I have only had two years of football, please don't underestimate my hard work ethic, my ability to be coached, to help my fellow team players, and to be the best offensive and defensive tackle I can be! I look forward to developing my own business post college and I look forward to volunteering for the disadvantaged and coaching youth football in my community.
