As long as I can remember football has been my passion. My relentless drive can be attributed to my will to complete. I cannot imagine a life without football.
Sports have taught me many things applicable on and off the fields of play. Football taught me the importance of teamwork. Being on a football team is a brotherhood. Every teammate contributes to the team’s wins and losses; everyone’s efforts and attitudes are combined. On the track & field team, I compete in shot put and discus. Opposite of football track and field is an individual sport and has taught me to rely on myself. Although I’m part of a team, we are competing against each other and other teams. We are all pushing each other to have our best performances. Teaching me it is possible to compete and encourage at the same time. Being a dual-sport athlete has taught me to work and respect all people.
College years for me is a period of personal, academic, and athletic growth. My goal is to explore a degree in kinesiology and a career in sports medicine. On the field, I am a dynamic player with a positive influence on my team. Through mental and physical resilience, I push myself to be an asset to the offensive line. Most importantly, I will always conduct myself with honor and integrity both on the field and off, in a manor the reflects my team, my coaches, the school, and my parents.
