Personal Statement
Hello I have always wanted to inspire others and within my young life I can truly say that I have. In my early years I attended private school and was one of the few minorities there, who other younger students looked up to for moral support.
Football has been an outlet to reach so many students at the same time with a positive approach to sportsmanship.
In 6th Grade heard my middle school team had a season that did not look favorable and I wanted to be apart of it to turn help turn it around. By the next year I was able to do just that. I realized that it took supportive team mates, family and coaches for this team in my 7th grade year to play to the best of our ability and have a winning season, which made the few obstacles of anxiety not be a deterrent.
As I played these years the team has been a second family for me, we not only play ball together but have been able to do other outside recreations together was friends and as family. There is a solidity between the team and me as we volunteered in the community with picking up trash, participating in various fundraisers, as well as supporting other happenings in the community, by watching over younger children while they bounce in bouncy houses. My family feels strongly about helping others by giving clothes to the needy as well as supporting other non-profit organizations throughout the school year.
Being a flexible player is very exciting. Playing Guard two years on Jv and then transitioning to nose guard on Varsity and next season center is the position that I will star at. Being able to play both these positions in the up coming season gives me the feeling of a greater responsibility of my row as not only a rising Senior on the team but a leader. The more I play the better of a player I become, so playing offensive and defensive gives me more playing time to sharpen my skills.I was named NUC 9th grade Strongman in 2013,I went to a Charles Johnson camp and got an award in 2015, on March 6th 2016 of this year I competed at the VTO combine and I got top 6 linemen,Also went to a Blue Grey combine March 26th and receive an award for Best lineman shuttle run.
Outside of football I focus on my academics, and enjoy hobbies such as listening to music, playing video games and spending time with friends.
My goals in the next 5 years are to dedicate my time to studies so as to attend a 4 year university, play collegians football, adapting to the college level of playing the sport, as well as volunteering more in the community in ways that will focus on helping other students and the elderly.
