Personal Statement
Playing for Centennial High School this past year adversity had greatly set in. With a 3-6-0 record, we had faced plenty of struggles together as a team and as individuals. Many had left due to grades, attitude, and simply giving up. We started the season with a 38-Player roster, and unfortunately we ended the season with a meager 29. This experience not only strengthened me individually, but it had helped me learn that no matter the result to keep pushing yourself to the end. Our sixth game against our rival Arbor view I had started in a position that I hadn’t played since my sophomore year. Coming from a D-End I started at outside linebacker that week to keep the edge and force the run inside. I had fulfilled my job and earned Defensive MVP from our coaches that week. Unfortunately we had lost, but I learned that my knowledge of other positions jobs on the field paid off, resulting in a good game on my part.
Freshman year was my first year playing 11-man tackle football, I loved it. All the summer time training, fresh cut smell of the field, putting on your pads and feeling like a completely different person, the hitting, my passion grew from it more and more every day. Along with that passion, my love for weightlifting and training myself to become a better athlete grew too. Starting my first year as a 6’0 135 pound freshman to ending my junior season as a 6’3 205 pound junior I loved the ethics of bodybuilding. Every day I better myself and find new barriers, whether that is in the weight room, in school, at home, or simply just being a better person I see the best of things. You get what you put into life that’s how life itself works. If you work hard, and try your absolute best I believe you will get the absolute best results. I apply that thought process to my daily lifestyle and work harder and harder every day.
