My collegiate goals are to gain knowledge, leadership skills and build relationships that will help me succeed later on in life. I decided to major in business entrepreneurship because once I graduate I aspire to own my own real estate investment company and hopefully make lots of money to support myself and help support my family.
I am a good candidate for the team because I believe in giving 100+ percent from BEGINNING to END during practice, training, weight room and on the field at game time. I make the most of every opportunity whenever I'm on the field and encourage my team mates when from the sideline. Winning two back to back state championships made me realize the importance of teamwork, sacrifice, commitment and dedication. Whatever it takes to help my team to win. Athletically I may be considered small, but I bring the pain! My speed plus my strength makes me a top competitor. I've been playing football since flag in Elementary school. I love football! Working out and training during off season helps me maximize my performance for when the season begins.
What makes me different than other recruits as far as my character is the way I deal with adversity. I experienced some tough times at home my sophomore year. I really struggled that year. My grades dropped and my performance on the field that year almost caused me to give up, but I pushed through and have been on track ever since. I came back my Junior year stronger than before. Academically, my grades have improved tremendously. I knew that if I was going to compete in college football my freshman year, the NCAA required a GPA of 2.3 or better. Sophomore year I ended with a 2.1. My Junior year I ended with a 2.62. End of senior year will be even better. I worked extremely hard to turn things around and will continue to do so throughout the remainder of my senior year. I took that experience Sophomore year to learn and grow from it. Late start...big finish.
I am looking forward to becoming a collegiate athlete. I know I have what it takes to succeed. To earn my degree and play football while doing it will be my biggest win.
