Over my High School career, I have learned that athletics is not the number 1 priority. There should be a balance of academics and athletics and that starts to become more important over the journey from 9th to 12th grade. Classes start to become more difficult and over time, your athletic focus becomes as important as your academic focus. In college, I would love to play sports and compete at the highest level I can, at the same time I need to leave college knowing that I learned valuable lessons from both acedemics and sports. I started playing football for the first time in my senior year and realized I have a talent for the game as a kicker, which stemmed from a 10 year soccer career. I found that I have a love for the game of football and hope that I can make a significant impact being part of the team.
