I am a student-athlete who lives by the Golden Rule, that is, to treat others in the manner which I want to be treated.
My life is faith-based in Jesus Christ, my Savior.
I am a hard-working, knowledgeable student who takes my academic life very seriously. My coaches tell me: School first, athletics second. I personally believe that I have successfully blended academia with my sports schedule. I have been successful in achieving my goals thus far.
I am a serious student who loves learning, contributing in class, and helping others. I participate in community service, in particular, feeding others. We have so many students in our area who lack basic necessities. I feel as though I have become a champion for this cause: Childhood hunger. Jesus Christ fed the masses. I follow in His footsteps by contributing what I can to my community. The basic tenants of my Catholic faith follow the teachings of Christ: Feed the hungry, give hope to the downtrodden, tend to the needy, and help those who are ill.
I have learned that through following my faith, I have become a superior athlete. I am able to contribute from my heart, and that makes me a stronger teammate. When I take the field beside my friends and fellow athletes, we always bow in prayer. This small gesture is so much larger than it seems. This time together reinforces our commitment to one another, to our coaches, and to our families. We respect our opponents while realizing we want to achieve our goal: We want to win.
I am a solid student with a strong work ethic. I put my best effort forward, realizing that I am not perfect, and that there is always room for improvement. I am an honor roll student, most recently, Summa Cum Laude for the Spring 2023 semester. I am very proud to know that my effort matches my results. I am motivated to always accomplish the task at hand.
You may ask, why should I choose Frank Von Hassel? What does Frank have to offer that sets him apart from the pack? I can respond in my usual, honest manner. I am a faith-based man who believes in a righteous path. This faith sustains me. I am devoted to Jesus Christ, my family, and my country. I want to play football and have a great life. I love to be on the field with my friends and coaches.
My football journey thus far has been such a fulfilling experience. I appreciate and enjoy each day, each practice, each victory, and every defeat. That which brings me down, makes me stronger.
I am motivated by wanting a good, solid life. I want to be successful like my parents are. I grew up on our organic grass-fed dairy farm. I have always known hard work. Living this life every single day makes you work harder, pray harder, and appreciate life just a little more. I can throw hay bales all day, and I can mow grass all night. If you set your mind to your task, you will be successful. It really is that simple. Everything I needed to learn about life, I learned growing up on our farm.
I am unique in this sense: I am a clean-living man who is devoted to God, my family, and my country. I believe in equality for all, and I practice what I preach. I am wise and mature, well beyond my years. We live in the country, approximately one hour from school. We travel numerous miles each week to get to school, and during this time, I have great conversations with my Mom or Dad. We talk about life, what I want to achieve, and we even talk about the music I like. I cherish these times that draw me closer to my family.
I am ready for college. I am ready to take my place with my team. I will contribute above and beyond to make my myself, my coaches, and my team proud.
All I can do is be me. That, for certain, will lead me to success!
