Jack O’Sullivan '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Jack O’Sullivan. As a three sport athlete Football, Basketball and Gaelic Football I have learned a lot about myself.  Each individual sport has taught me many lessons that have helped me on and off the field.  In Football I am part of a brotherhood.  We all work together to accomplish a single goal.  I depend on my brothers, and they depend on me.  To succeed as a team, each one of us needs to do our very best even though we are doing different jobs.  Like Football, Basketball and Gaelic Football are two additional sports I play where different skills are used, it is key to communicate and collaborate for the ultimate team goal.  I take pride in pushing myself and my team to be our best. We all support each other to try our best.  Being a part of these teams has taught me to work with and respect many different players with different caliber of play.  I thrive on keeping fit and working out in the gym is a big motivator for me to stand out from the crowd, to be that one step better than the next.

During this past Football season (Junior Year), I was awarded All-League and All-Conference.  During Basketball season I was awarded All-League and Most Improved Player.  I play for Rockland GAA and tried out and made the New York GAA U17 team, which traveled to Ireland this summer to compete against Irish Gaelic football teams. For a portion of this tour I was handed the captaincy and also honored with Man of the Match during our final tournament (decided by the officials). Additionally, my grades have always been important to me (current GPA 3.85) and I work hard to balance between my academics and extracurricular activities in order to be successful in both.  In college, I am looking to major in Business/Finance, possibly Data Analytics or Sports Management.  I believe Nanuet High School has helped me to prepare for the balancing and opportunities in the future.
