My name is Sean Michael Overa, and I am currently a senior at West Morris Central High School in Chester, New Jersey. I have been playing football since second grade and play multiple positions on the offensive and defensive lines. My goal is to get into a top academic institution for Engineering and pursue a PhD. I have had great success with football by participating on a team that won a New Jersey State Championship in 2012 and made it to the semi-finals in both 2011 and 2010. I would love to play college football and I am confident that I can contribute and compete at the next level. I have learned many things as a result of being part of a team throughout my life but most importantly I have learned that sometimes we have to persevere through difficult situations and if you can continue to learn through those experiences you will be rewarded. Being on any team is hard work and requires discipline and dedication. It is obvious that I have grown physically, however what is not obvious is how I have grown mentally and emotionally. I work hard at everything I pursue including academics where I am currently enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program. Throughout the remainder of my high school career I will continue to work hard both academically and athletically to help achieve and support my long term goals of attending a university where I can play a sport I love while obtaining an academic degree that will prepare me for my future.
