Cooper Hogan '21 Recruiting Profile

We live in a world that is driven by data and metrics.  While metrics are important they do not tell the whole story.  I point this out because my success does not align with my metrics.  You see I have always been small for my age.  I had to learn how to compete as a smaller athlete.  I found that passion mixed with aggression and preparation allowed me to be successful.  I have received many mvp awards in football, basketball, and baseball over the years.  I have been been captain and made the defensive calls on the field, however the recognition I hold most dear are the times when my coaches and even opposing coaches recognize my passion for the game and remark, "I wish I had a team full of guys like you."  I believe that while I can't control everything, I can always control my preparation and effort. 

I have played three sports, football, basketball, and baseball since I was in 2nd grade.  I have played on championship teams, undefeated teams, and teams that were not as successful.  The thing that all these teams have in common is the bond between players and coaches formed by hard work chasing team goals. I look forward to working hard to make my next team at the collegiate level successful.
