Personal Statement
My name is Melvyn Thomas III, I am part of the class 2016 at Harvest Prepatory School, Canal Winchester, Ohio. Every since I was two when my grandma gave me my first football, I knew I had love for the game of football. My first competitive game was when I was six and I played for the Eastland Vikings in Columbus,Ohio. My Love for the game has helped to developed me into the man I am today. I've been playing VARISTY since my freshmen year both offense and defense. As a freshmen and sophmore, I played Offensive Tackle and Defensive End, now I am proud to say that I am a Linebacker and Fullback weghing in at 203' with a height of 5'11. My Junior Year, I earned All State Honorable Mention, First Team Mid-State All League and also 1st Team All Central District. My GPA is a 3.0 and I will receive my ACT scores in the middle of July. In college I want to major in Busniess Accouting. As much as I love the game of football, I apply hard work in the classroom just as I do on the field. Last football season during weekends, I helped serve in Salvation Army soup kitchens, rang Christmas bells at Walmart and helped supervise drills at local Warriors kids football camps. I plan to participate with our schools service program, Just Cause my senior year. This will allow me to help others throughout our community. I'm thankful that God has blessed me with a family that loves the Lord and given me a Christian education so that I can walk boldly in my faith. My goal is to continue pursuing my dream of playing the wonderful game of Football at the college level. My favortie quote that I read everyday, ( Football is like life - it requires perseverance, self-denial, hard work, sacrifice, dedciation and respect for authority - Vince Lombardi).
