Personal Statement
I am a student-athlete at Brookside High School in Sheffield, Ohio. I play varsity football and run varsity track. I have loved running track since I started running in 7th grade for my junior high team. One day I would like to achieve my goal of being a collegiate student-athlete. I strive to be the best I can be in the classroom, on the track, and in all aspects of life. I am coachable and a hard worker and will do whatever it takes to better myself and my team. I will do any task I am asked of and I will not stop until the job is done.
Ever since I first started playing sports at age 5, my parents and coaches have enforced the importance of school before sports. I was taught that my hard work in the classroom will transition to my work toward becoming a better student-athlete. I have approached my student-athlete career from this aspect ever since I began playing sports and it has helped me become a better student as well as a better athlete, and as a person in general.
The advice that my parents and coaches have given me has helped shape who I have become as a student and as an athlete. I have learned to work as hard as I possibly can at anything that I try to achieve, whether it be in the classroom or on the track. I know that I would be a good candidate for your team and school because I will approach anything I am asked of with all the effort I can give and I will do my best to help not only myself, but my peers that surround me.
