Personal Statement

Vince Lombardi once said," The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge,
but rather in a lack of will." My football team lives by the motto... FINISH! During practice and games I give my highest potential. Pushing myself in running from drill to drill, giving 110% during drills, and never giving up are some qualities I achieve. On the team, I am leader to my fellow team mates. Listening closely to my coaches and delivering the proper play makes me feel strong, powerful, and successful in the game. Being a leader does not just happen on the football field. Academic responsibilities are a must! I recently finished my sophomore year at New Albany High School with a 3.8 GPA. Taking Honors classes while playing two sports, football and lacrosse, made me a disciplined and self-controlled student athlete. In order to participate in a high school sport, I believe one's grades come first. It is a priveledge to play a sport, yet school work can never slack. As my college career becomes closer to a reality, I have set personal goals that I hope and will  achieve. Academically, I would like to get a major in international business or the Sciences. Next, by using my Science background, I will attend medical school to become an Orthopedic Surgeon. Many surgeons of this type are very seasoned players of fitness and athletics. On the football field I want to serve as a role model in order to better myself and the players around me. Competing, never giving up, and always having a great work ethic, are some of my qualities that set me apart from other recruits. I will give a 110% effort at all times on and off the field. Even when a situation seems impossible, I will challenge myself to achieve my goals and future dreams. Never say "never!" Staying positive, keeping my mind and body healthy, being true to myself, believing, helping my community, loving my family, and know the journey is strong and powerful, is all the more reason I want to be the player I dream to become and grow for many years to come. Thank you
